Hi Rossland,

I'm Lisa, and I'm running for Mayor in this October's municipal election.

​

I ran for council in 2022 because I wanted to give back while growing roots here. What I've learned since is that almost none of municipal government is glamorous. It's utility master plans and bylaw revisions and long Monday-night conversations about service levels.

​

But it's also the difference between a town that drifts and a town that's ready for whatever comes next.

​

I've been part of a council doing genuinely forward-looking work — modernizing bylaws, rolling out the Recreation Master Plan, formalizing regional partnerships with Trail and Warfield, and the long-term infrastructure planning nobody notices until it fails. I want to keep that momentum going, and I want more Rosslanders in the conversation while we do it.

In addition to my role with council, I spent more than twenty years in leadership: CEO of a national sport organization until 2024, and Managerial roles across three Olympic and Paralympic Games — Vancouver 2010, London 2012, Sochi 2014. I've served on national and provincial boards, including Motivate Canada and Sport BC.

That work taught me how to run complex organizations, how to manage a budget, and how to sit in a room where people disagree and still get to a decision everyone can stand behind.

​

This is our home. I'd like to continue to help run it well.

Why me

​

I get people working together. A mayor has one vote, same as everyone else at the table. The rest is the ability to build agreement — and that's what I've spent twenty years doing.

​

Continuity matters. Four years on this council means I can hit the ground running: move big projects forward, build on what's working, and leverage the relationships needed to fix what isn't.

​

Committed to Rossland. Chair of the Rossland Winter Carnival Society since 2021, past President of the Mountain Ravens Riding Club, census enumerator, and poll worker at the local polling station during federal elections.
