You'll be voting for 1 Mayor, 6 Councillors, and School District No. 20 Trustee.
Can you vote?
You can vote as a resident elector if you:

Are 18 or older on general voting day

Are a Canadian citizen

Have lived in B.C. for at least six months before you register
-
Have lived in Rossland for at least 30 days before you register

Aren't disqualified from voting under any law
You can vote as a non-resident property elector if you own property in Rossland but live somewhere else in B.C., and meet the same age, citizenship and residency requirements.
A few things to know: the property has to be owned by individuals, not a corporation. If a property has more than one owner, only one of you can vote on it, and the majority of owners have to designate that person in writing. And there's no business or corporate vote in local elections.
If you own property in more than one B.C. community, you can vote once in each — as long as you qualify in each.
Do you need to register in advance?
No. You can register at the voting place when you show up. Bring two pieces of ID, at least one with your signature, that prove who you are and where you live.
